Default Utah Driven

Hello all

Living in Utah, been off road for about 20+ years here, but with ATV and Sleds. Got to a point where I wanted to explore the trails and road with the ability to go between them via the highway.

Been looking for a rig that I could tow as a TOAD, and narrow down the personal list to a XJ. Found one, 2000 5speed (wanted a manual). Seller was a 2nd owner. Had lots of recepts and personal documentation that backup what I seen in the XJ, 205k miles.

I am now the 3rd owner of that XJ $2700 later. It appears that it never really has been off road or at least abused at all. Underchassic is sweet looking considering the mileage on it.

I still need to place a front tow bar on it, on order already from Tomken. I will want a rear hitch aux braking setup still before I can flat tow it.

Been off road already, appears to be a good rig for what I am looking for.

I have been mostly a reader at this and other forums, just so I can gain knowledge and not attempt to re-invent the wheel.
