Noob from Northern Wyoming

Hey all,
I'm on the lookout for a clean 2nd generation Cherokee. I sold my pickup because my family is expanding and now I don't have transport into the mountains for flyfishing. Looking at my options, I've decided there is no alternative to the XJ (although I'm trying to get a neighbor to sell me her 81 Wagoneer).

I've been all over this forum and haven't found anthing that explains the basics. I have no idea what al this fancy terminology you use is and anything related to drivetrain, lifting, etc. is new to me. Is there a thread that explains all of this?

Welcome from MN! Where in Wyoming are you from? My g/f grew up in Buffalo and I have a number of friends that are around the state as well.

I'm in Sheridan. Buffalo is only a few short miles away.

Since Im' 20 miles from the Montana border, I'm a full state away. Considering the population density here, I'd consider us next door neighbors! If I ever find myself, I might just have to look you up. You're the fella selling that bumper, eh? It does look purdy. If I find myself in the market, I may just have to stop by for a visit.

Cool! I'm up there almost every time I get out to WY. I'll be sure to let you know next time I'm heading out that way. Lots of off-roading to do out there.
