New from NY Long Island

Default New from NY Long Island

My daughter just recieved her 16th birthday gift started out as a stock 2000 Xj, so far we have done the rough country 6.5 long arm kit and put it on a set of 33"good year kevlars mounted on summits version of soft 8's. She loves it!! Glad to have found this forum..

Picts, you're daughters XJ isn't too far from where I'm at w/ my XJ. I'm at 5.5" w/35" Kevlars, but I'm on short arms......(blaaaa)

this is it now, waiting on the rough country sye and cv drive shaft should be in today..

Thanks!! I'm hoping after the sye and the cv drive shaft I get rid of the vibration. It is for my daughter but she won't have her full license for at least a year gives me plenty of time to work out any issues...

You may still need shims. I have some (slight) vibes still after my SYE& drive shaft. I think I only need a few degrees of shims. XJ looks great, wish my dad hooked me up with a sweet lifter XJ when I got my license.

Thanks for the advice caronaxtr I'll see how it goes after the sye and the drive shaft, yeah she's a good kid i worked some major ot to do this for her

Do the SYE and DS and measure the angles. With my relocation bracket and boomerang shackles, it kicks my rear pinion up some so it works out.

Sye and new drive shaft are in, much improved no more vibration rides great. So well my wife actually drove it ( she thinks I'm out of my mind building this for my daughter). For now I'm going to use it as my run around vehicle till she gets her license.

Such a lucky kid... The lift kit complemented well with your wheel design. By the way are those atx wheels?

So there is someone else on long island that has a massive 99 cherokee. I've been looking to get into a club join or make one for the island you know of any?
