Default New from NC

Just bought my first Jeep yesterday. 01 XJ. Going to be my daily driver. I have some plans for her though I wanna change out the emblems. Does anyone know where I can get some dark gunmetal emblems? I've looked everywhere and can only find stock silver.

Welcome from Florida. as for the emblems, you will only be able to buy them in silver and gold but im sure you can have some made. it wouldn't be hard.

Thanks. That's what I figured. I thought about buying some and painting them myself but was worried that the paint would chip and/or not last.

Nice XJ!!!

i would just try to paint them really, it can't be any worse than that Plasti-Chrome, ya know. If it doesn't work-out, you can always just put another set back on...

Welcome, from Wisconsin. Gold emblems wouldn't look bad. But I don't believe they where offered for a sport, or classic. (so might be impossible to find these two) Buy a set of silver ones, Lightly sand blasted, And spray them gunmetal. My XJ is silver, with gold emblems and pinstrippng. (because of it being a limited) Thank god it didn't come with those cheesy gold rims.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably just paint them. Are they easy to take off/ put back on without messing them up?

Mine where put on with body molding tape. (Black, sticky, gooey crap) I'm getting a new coat of paint in spring. But before that, I'll take pics and measurements of the (stock, factory) locations. To make sure they end up back in the right spots. And the gold pinstripping (with the word limited in it.) I saw on E-Bay. Good luck to you.
