I'm new in the jeep world, so the HO engine you speak of, I have no idea. Yes it's 1990 model. I didn't realize this was gonna be such a pain. I'm almost ready to just give up and keep using prop rod.

Just trying to figure out why/what year the washer bottle is in that spot. That makes 3 different locations for the XJ.
HO = High Output. There was an engine modification around 1990, referred to as the HO 4.0 liter.
Hang in there, we are here to help.

Thanks Steve. I guess I will just package up all those parts and hold on to them for another time, or sell the kit.
1991, did you install struts on yours?

Not yet. Planning on getting some as soon as I can though.

I have since updated the item description to 92 and up since I was not aware of the mods to fit the earlier models. So for that reason you can return the kit to me. I'll message you.

For years 92-01 the kit remains to be a bolt on assembly with no other mods needed.

Anyone have a closer pic of passenger side mount? I have some relays mounted there and want to make sure this will work.

Ordered the kit. But since mine's an '89 with the washer bottle in the way I ordered the reverse ball mounts and will be installing ala SteveMongr.

Thanks, as long as you understand the kit if for a 92 and up for that reason.. but it sounds like you know how to make it work.

Ordered the kit a few weeks ago, and got it installed this past weekend. Thing works amazing! Make sure to hold on to the hood when you release it, or it'll fly up due to the great quality shocks.
