I made a couple for myself and for a friend back then. Then people asked me to make more for them.

I figured I might as well should post it here too. It have real 1/2" weld nuts TIG welded on it. $26 shipped for a pair.

(The picture is of my nutstrips, but they come in bare steel). I can prime them for $1.00 more.

Upgrade your hitch receivers with better nutstrips. Those tiny square plates with carriage bolts are just bull****.

Please note, hardware (bolts/washers/etc) aren't included.

Hey would these work in an '00 XJ to attach a gas skid plate? No hitch and have no intention of getting one. They look a little shorter then the what I see on the internet.

no it wouldn't work with a skid. It won't reach all the way in.

Yes it's shorter than those in the link.

Thank you for getting back to me. Kinda figured that but when you have never seen stuff in person, just on the internet, it is tough to know for sure from a picture.

I could make one that incorporate the nut that's further down inside the frame rail but the cost probably would be the same as JCR Offroad.

But yours are welded, there's are nutserts. You would be the only one that makes stout nut strips. *Cough* Crown & JCR suck *Cough*

I didn't really think about but Ad-HocXJ has a point. I have a line on a gas tank skid so if everything works out I will need nut strips. Maybe you should think about making the longer ones.

Forgot who gave me this pic, but maybe you could make some use of it. If you don't, I got a welder and need some money...

Alright everybody. I just submitted a quote request to my machine shop to laser cut the strips (full ones with the gas tank skid plate nuts) then press brake them to shape. Then I ll be welding the nuts to it. I ll keep u guys updated if that's happening

I just got a quote back from the shop. Then after factoring in the cost of weld nuts, grade 8 bolts, etc. it's gonna probably either cost the same as other guys or a little more.

How do $45 plus shipping sound to you guys?

Without bolts, it would be $37 plus shipping

Still haven't confirmed that I am getting that gas tank skid but thinking I would rather buy yours if and when the time comes.

probably 5 bucks to 10 bucks. I still need to figure out how to package it efficiently.
