Firesleeve!
2.) Firesleeve:
The sleeve is from Firesleeve.com, it is their aerospace style sleeve.
I have (not willing to cut rolls, all or none):
- 28' of 1-1/8" sleeve - retails for $3.48/foot + shipping - $90 for the entire roll
- 2' of 1-1/2" sleeve - retails for $4.46/foot + shipping - $5.00
- 2' of 1-5/8" sleeve - retails for $4.51/foot + shipping - $5.00

From their site:
Essentially, it help prevents your rig from catching on fire.
I've got it on all my fuel lines, large electrical, and transmission lines.
It can be the difference between losing your rig, and a quick replacement.
Our products, which are made of either knitted or braided fiberglass yarns on a flexible substrate, are designed to protect hoses, wires, tubes/pipes, and cables from the hazards of high heat and occasional flame and/or to provide optimal thermal insulation in these applications. When coated with our high quality silicone, these products provide continuous protection to 500°F/270°C and withstand molten splash up to 2200°F/1220°C. Products without silicone coating provide continuous protection to 1000°F/540°C.
Resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels, it insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing; protects employees from burns; and allows "bundling" of wires, hoses, and cables. The braided version, more commonly used in aerospace applications, allows qualified hose assemblies to pass AS1055D testing under stated flow and pressure conditions.
