I decided to upgrade the grounding cable on my Millermatic 211. Factory cable was 4 gauge and I went to one size bigger and made sure the jacket matched the machine.

Next thing we know, you're going to be rewiring the whole house in 2AWG welding cables

Quick question: do I need to be concerned with the following leftovers from the previous harness? I know I asked about what I think is the fusible link plug. Just wanted to make sure that it and the old alternator positive wire can be forgotten in the wind.

Otherwise, I finally installed everything. I used two rivnuts to secure the ANL fuse block to the inner fender, and I am replacing the now-obstructed hood prop with gas struts that leave that whole area open. Very pleased with them. I ran the alternator wire up to the front, around the battery box, and to the ANL block, then around to the positive terminal to neatly use all the slack. Starter wire comes right up behind the coolant bottle and along the PDC. The rats nest isn't as bad as it looks... just needs a new batter to hold it all together!

In installing the positive wire on the alternator, I did break a section of the plastic "guide" that the wire and terminal set in. Will this be an issue?

Appreciate the help!

You'll have to "cap off" the wire as there is power going to it still. At least there was on mine. Even with both the alt fuses removed from the PDC, the new wiring back feeds into it. If you test it with a meter and there's no voltage, you should be fine, but I'd still cap it off anyway just to be sure.

Fire and Jeeps don't mix.

I edited my first post in this thread regarding military discount for those who are currently serving.

Thank you for your service, its forever appreciated. I just wish I had thought of this before. My apologies.
