Hi I bought your bracket off of eBay. The thing is wonderfully made. The only problem is the cb is very unclear and static. I have tried a 4 foot firestick and a 2 foot Wilson fiberglass antenna and had the same issues with both, I tried it with and without the nylon washer and tried it on the top and bottom of the bracket. I'm running a cobra cb from Walmart. And my friend has the same one with the cheap antenna from Walmart and his works great. Any help would be great!

It is always a pain in the butt to get good SWR sometimes.
Here's a meter:

CB shops will also do it for you for a couple bucks.
I tuned myself up pretty good with a tunable tip 3' Firestik. It wasn't on the money, but it was clear talking to people.
Might also have to experiment with settings on the radio.
