I include the button from the chevy. I find that some don't have to use it. To take off your old one a heat gun on the outside of the window and a fine scraper it pops right off then just glue the chevy one in place. It has more wires in the harness to it than you need. You will need one to the temp probe, a hot, and a ground. When I put them in I find a good fuse that's hot with key on and not critical and use a fuse tap to get my power, the ground I run with the sensor wire and ground to the firewall in the engine bay. All in all super easy install.

The one extra wire is supposed to go to the nss so that when reverse is activated, it turns the mirror off. I never found this to be an issue.
