Thanks for the review!
The improvement I'm excited about is to the 97+ dome lamp LED. I won't actually know how well it works until it arrives, but the wire loop will be run so the LED faces down instead of forward. When it arrives, I'll post the results.
In the mean time, I'd like to put together TJ and ZJ sets. If anyone has a TJ or ZJ and would like a set of lights, I'll give the lights for free in exchange for photos of the stock lights (still in the sockets), model information, and maybe a measurement or two. Otherwise, all I ask is for a review and any improvement suggestions.

Real quick before I got to work... I'm always trying to come up with improvements. The current one I'm working on is the 97+ center dome lamp. I'm waiting on that order to arrive. In the mean time, I've been thinking about the lights that go in the vanity mirrors. Honestly they're not something that I'm hugely concerned about, but if I can come up with something better, I at least want to try.
The idea I'm considering is using an LED backlight panel like is used in cell phones. I can have it made in pretty much any rectangular shape along with the necessary resistors to make it work on a 12V circuit. The advantage would be that instead of opening the mirror cover and being blinded by some rather bright point source LEDs, it would be more like looking at a cell phone on the bright setting.
I think I can make it a fairly simple install, but that depends a lot on the thickness of the material.
I've got a spare iphone backlight panel or two I can test on.
It's not super expensive, but I'd probably have to order a couple thousand of them, which isn't any different than the LEDs I'm using now, except that it's a lot easier to resell standard socket LEDs than special made items if the light sets stop selling for some reason.
The stock incandescent bulbs are not very bright, but they output light in a 360 degree angle around the filament, and that light is diffused by the plastic cover. The LEDs are direct and in-your-face.

do you have any sets still for a 94 xj without visors? I want to change all the instrument lights and the front and rear dome and what ever other lights there are that i can change inside. Just let me know how to pay. Thanks in advance

Finally got around to installing mine. I lost the instructions awhile back... took me a second to figure out where they all went. After that, it was easy! Lights work great! Most of mine were burnt out and now everything lights up. The blue looks pretty cool! Thanks man.

I'm out of visor lights, so I can only sell interior LED sets without them. Price is $20 shipped, any year XJ.
Prices will be $30 per set once everything is back in stock.
I'm trying to make things a bit more professional and use these interior sets as a business 'proof of concept' before expanding to more items and options.

I sent you the payment the otherday. I thought my gf had sent it but she forgot. Let me know when you get it. Sorry about the delay.

$13 shipped. I recommend floorwell lights as well if you still have the stock sockets. Shoot me a pm if interested.

Loving this forum
Been lurking for a while and just joined. I have fixed so much in my 98 Xj myself because of all of these threads including my stuck tailgate today. I'd be interested in some of these led's. The superbrightled site was way expensive. I bought some of the interior bulbs at the Overland Expo (amazing rigs for miles if anyone is ever near Flagstaff in a May). Overlandsolar.com has some of these and they are working well. I bought a couple on ebay before finding the new ones and they worked for a while but they got dim and looking inside some of the little diodes fell off. So far so good with the festoons I think they are called.
