[FS] Interior LED Sets

Finally got my led strip put in. Wow this thing looks great. I've tried probably 5 different things and this one is by far the best option. I can get some better pictures later, it's a little bright out for good ones, also it's really hot haha. Pictures really don't do these things justice.

These are still tough to make - I can't just package a dozen of them in an hour like the regular sets. So, for right now at least, this is still a by-request only part.

I did use additional adhesive, but it's only because I didn't think to clean the dust off before sticking it in.... I was taping my dash with foam outdoor mounting tape because it rattles so I just grabbed a little 2" piece of that and used it. I left one led still in since it still worked so it's pretty bright, but I like it. High quality and worth it. One of the best guys to do business with.

Also, if you order the. 97-01 instrument set and want the climate control led strip, add a note to the order to let me know. It'll delay shipping a day or two, but i think it's worth it. At some point I'lltake a day and build several at once, but until then they are made-to-order only.

Pre-97 has that problem pretty bad for blue and green sets. White sets are good though. It's worse for green sets, because everything ends up being green except the climate control panel. To really correct it, a new climate control face would need to be made and that's beyond me.
97-01 shouldn't be too bad. I expect some difference among color shades, but it shouldn't be too strong. I think the difference in how the transmission and transfer case light up compared to everything else will stand out most in that set-up.
Side note - 97-01 Instrument sets are now $25. Twenty was never a price I expected to keep them at - just something to help promote and offset risk for those trying out a new product.

Got new lights in today! I'm making the loops for the 98-01 XJ dome light by hand, so they don't look as good as the ones with normal loops - but they work great. Set price will be $35 soon for all interior sets (not instrument sets).
New 44mm loop festoon (84-97 XJ) and 42mm festoon (WJ, possibly/eventually JK, ZJ, and 98-01 XJ)
New 44mm loop festoon LED (98-01 XJ & ZJ Dome lights). Still making the loops by hand with soft copper - working on getting harder tinned copper and a jig set up to get consistent loops.

I'll look through the photos again, but how does the transmission compare to the transfer case as far as brightness is concerned?

I have a 5 SPD trans not automatic so I have no light, I will double check package for opaque plastic
Thanks for posting. Glad the lights are working out. The set should include an opaque plastic piece that fits in the transmission bezel. If you used it, did that help with the brightness of that LED? Another thing that may help is to rotate the socket that holds the LED so the two chips are pointed at the sides of the enclosure - that way there is less direct light visible in the cab.

On my next light order, I'll see if I can get these made with less powerful chips. It won't help you anytime soon, but is an eventual solution. I already did this for the white sets, but I thought blue and green were okay.
Thanks for the feedback!

Ahh, yeah - I don't think the transfer case uses a removable film. I know the 97-01 doesn't, but I'm not 100% certain about the older ones. The only suggestion I have is to rotate the socket. That can help. On my next light order, I'll see if I can get these made with less powerful chips. It won't help you anytime soon, but is an eventual solution.
