I am selling my 98 XJ Sport 4x4 auto. It has 181k miles and is in good condition, but will need either an engine swap or rebuild. It cracked the #6 piston, but didn't score the cylinder, so could be rebuilt. If you had a good used motor, though, that would be a quicker fix.


There is a small amount of rust on the passenger rocker, but otherwise it is solid. No rust on floor pans. Interior is in good shape, but could use a cleaning. All glass is good. AC works. Trans/transfer case/diffs are in good working order. Factory aluminum rims are powdercoated black, with 31" tires. The PO had installed a 3" RC lift. New exhaust manifold and water pump have maybe 100 miles on them.


If you are interested, and have more specific questions, feel free to ask. I hate to part it out, seeing as how solid the body is, but I have too many vehicles and not enough time to fix it. Thanks for looking.
