I bought this from a guy in El Paso as a project to work on and build up over time. However, I will be moving soon now and do not want to tow it with me to my new location to continue working with. I do not currently have a title as I was going to wait till I got it where I wanted it before getting the title and registering it. I can get a bonded title for you, but it will have to be registered within 30 days of the title issue date. If you do not want to go this route then I will provide a bill sale along with all paperwork from the previous owner. Keep in mind this a project that will need to be towed, so with that I will start with the bad first. The previous owner had it broken into while he was in Midland and in doing so they punched the locks on the original power doors and ripped out the radio and speakers. This did not bother me as I had planned to rip out the interior to bedline it anyway. He also thought he was a "mechanic" of some sorts and tried to rewire a lot of this jeep. I have spent some time to try and fix a lot of what he did. Currently the ignition is hooked up to a push button start but has an electrical gremlin somewhere in the process. It will turn over with a remote start and fire up but will die when the brake is pressed. I'm still messing with this when I have time to try and see if there is a vacuum leak or some other issue. Also the rear brake line to the driver's side drum needs to be replaced as the nipple end is broke and there is no front drive shaft and the windshield has a big crack from a rock. The last of the bad is that he cut three of the fenders for extra clearance but never finished the 4th, and the driver's door top hinge has been weldedback on. Now for the good stuff, otherwise known as money that I put into it! I replaced all four of the messed up power doors with 4 manual doors off of another XJ. I haven't yet shimmed them and tweaked them to fit completely snug but they are on and functional. Starting from the rear I replaced both drums and shoes along with all new springs in the rear brakes and new rear wheel studs. The rear diff has been cleaned, finished and sealed with new fluid. It also has a new fuel filter, new rear drive shaft U-joints and rear transfer case output shaft seal as well as new fluid in the transfer case. Along with fresh fluids in the motor it also has a new oil filter, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, belt, air filter and valve cover gasket. The older renix oil filter adapter has been replaced with a newer version and had new O-rings put in. The throttle body has been taken off and cleaned completely and replaced with a new gasket, as well as having a complete new vacuum harness installed. Other parts that will be included are a new front transfer case front shaft seal, new front rotors and pads, two spare wheels and tires, the 4 original doors, pipe for a roof rack and an extra transfer case. I know I will lose money on this, especially as it needs to be towed this is why I am listing it as a project. I'm asking $1300 for it all obo or will trade it for a MIG or TIG welding set up, KLX140/CRF150/TTR230 dirt bike, guns or a mix.
