I used to think Gutter Mount roof racks were the way to go, but now I am rethinking that.

Be real careful of the loading on, there is a thread in the OEM section about the gutter mounts being ripped off and the OP wants to be able to fix them and remount his gutter mounted roof rack.

He could have had some underlying problems as well, like rust along the gutter but he posted no pics last time I checked.

Gutters are healthy as a horse. Rails on top have some rust issues. Oem roof rack would MOS DEF get ripped off. Think my chances are better w the guttr mnts. Would like to repair oem's but that seems real involved and i just dont have that much time right now. Bolt on sounds nice.

I will however consider this info when installing. Will try to reinforce i stall somehow to prevent it from being "claimed by the trail"!

It came like four days ago just havnt had he time to install. Looks fairly plug and play. Was trying to hold out till i could get roof rack. See what kinda time i get this week.

Sry guys. Finally got them on. Just havnt had time. They went on super easy and seem real sturdy. I will get a couple pics of the rig w them on it. Ordering roof basket tomorrow.
