Funny you say that because my uncles mile marker exploded recently. The straps that hold the winch together in the event of explosion, just snapped their threaded brackets off of the winch body. So now the winch looks like this \====/ Vs this I===I. And we now have the electrical box ducktaped to the winch motor and welded our own straps to hold us over until we save for a WARN.

Sometimes the "deals" come at a cost. Maybe it is poor service after the sale or maybe it is an inferior product. I for one am glad there are still a few people in business because it is what they are passionate about and I am going to do everything I can to support them. Most of the time you don't even know where something is coming from when you by from crapazon. You order 3 parts for your Jeep and they come from 3 different places none of which will take your call if there is a problem. Then at least one of those companies that shipped you that Jeep part probably bought a container load of them at an additional 10% less than a legit dealer, then they throw them on Amazon a few bucks above cost to get a quick ROI. They barely know what was in that container! Last week they bought a container full of bedazzled iPhone cases. Anyone else in the automotive aftermarket out there knows what I am talking about.

Actually Amazon tells you exactly where it is shipping from and who is selling it if you read the big box that contains all the shipping information. If you purchase from Amazon their return policy is top notch and their shipping is extremely fast. I support the vendors for speciality items such as fabrication things and jeep specific items. There's absolutely no point in purchasing an item I don't want or a brand I don't like simply because a vendor on here is selling.

I don't understand why people are getting so butthurt because I offered the guy another brand other than that Rugged Ridge winch that is spammed across every winch post.

Yeah I wouldn't worry as much about Amazon as I would Ebay. I'll support the vendors where I can with jeep specific things though like the above post.

I have a rigid front bumper with an engo 9k mounted on a trailer hitch winch mount. Cables ran to te back so I could use it on my rear jcr bumper. I like that I can keep it out of the weather when I don't use it.

Rather than try and stir the pot anymore with my opinions on business practices, how about I do the right thing and answer the OP question.

I have the Smittybilt XRC 10 winch and I am very happy with it.

Had this one
http://truckandwinch.com/tuff-stuff-...ess-winch.html
now I have this
http://truckandwinch.com/tuff-stuff-...oof-winch.html
I had the first one for a good long time, put some good heavy pulls on it and it never let me down! I sold it to get the second one. Its just as nice!
I have the nates4x4 slimline winch bumper, the combination of that bumper with my winch is like they were meant for each other
