I've got 32/10.5/15 BFG KM1's. Would not recommend them as a mostly street driven tire, they seem to wear fast and are very loud. They do how ever perform very well offroad, better than a lot of other tires I've seen!

Well I have found a few deals.. The goodyear wrangler at's must be changing and are on major sales.. and the kenda clever mt's and the gladiator mt's seem very reasonable but I have no experience with either.

I always recommend a MT over an AT but I have never heard of the kenda or gladiators. Look at roughcountry's website they sell steel wheels for very cheap. They also sell Mickey Thompson MT's for very cheap. I would stick to name brand tires if I were you meaning Goodyear, BFG, Toyo, Mickey Thompson, Cooper, Nitto, etc...

Kenda is a name brand, however they are just not entering the US market.

Cbs_24, it's just at my local family tire store. But I have noticed while searching that the wrangler at's are on sale everywhere.

Default Tire tips

I would like to share a few tips about tires with everyone. Have you noticed that you now almost have to go to the bank and take out a loan for a set of tires?

Here's why... The Steel Workers Union lobbied Obama to put a tariff on Chinese Tires right after he got in office. They wanted higher more "Competitive prices" compared to the retail cost of American made Tires.

Right after he implemented the tariff the American companies took advantage and jacked their prices back up to the same cost ratio difference anyways. On top of this the never ending Union demands have forced American made Tire Companies to skimp on tire materials and quality. The materials they are cutting back on that they should never cut back on is Steel and Natural Rubber.

Natural Rubber is super important to make a tire last longer and not dry out as fast from exposure to the elements. The more Natural Rubber the less they tend to "Chunk out". As we know Rubber Trees do not grow here, so the natural rubber has to be imported at great cost. Well the far eastern manufactures have Rubber trees growing in their own backyards.

So even though I hate to say it, Buy tires from the far east because they are now a superior tire due to the amount of Natural Rubber they can afford to put in the mix. Steel is steel when it comes to making tires and they recycle scrap so they can afford to put the proper belts together and not skimp on it.

We can thank the Unions solely for making us need go get a loan for tires.

If 31s are an option I have been absolutely satisfied with Treadwright Guard Dogs. USA remade, save the environment, save some cash. Great tire. They also just announced they got some new mold machines that allow them to remold the tires the same way the major brands do.
