Vibration
When driving home my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic started loosing power. It would come and go but I made it home. When I parked it in the driveway idling in park I could here a clanking noise from underneath. I did find that a flex plate bolt was hitting the dust cover. I tightened and put lock tight on the bolts. One was loose. The noise is gone. I found the braided ground wire at the firewall was disconnected and reattached it.
It started right up but there is a vibration when I rev it in park around 1500
rpm. It goes away below 1500 at idle and above 1500rpm. I also feel it while driving when it passes through this range. I could not see any flex plate cracks. I installed this automatic transmission myself several months ago.
Any ideas as to what is happening. I have looked under it in idle and see a shake at the transfer case and the drive shaft.
Thanks
