you can adapt the ax-15 to the 5.3 but i would run it with a gm trans

I would budget 6k to 8k for the whole swap and thats on you do it all,Having a shop do it you might wanna double that.The motor and trans are probably gonna be the cheapest parts of the swap.Unless your gonna run a 88-98 np241 any other t case will take a adapter kit.Drive shafts your looking 300 plus to have each one made to fit.Then you got all the swap parts and other things like do you have the ecu flashed with out vats or use a tuner.And the do you use a oem wiring harness or buy a simple aftermarket one.Theres a lot of options on how to do it some are cheap but take more time,And some cost more but save you time.
