No, no one searches anymore. Heck there was another asking how to swap a manual to a auto, plenty of info already to do it. A better question would have been "found the write up for swapping a auto to manual, is the process the same backwards?"

Frank Z (Serious Offroad) did a killer write up made me want to start buying parts .

Yeah that's a very reasonably priced v8 but reading the thread by frank z it looks like he had to use parts from three different transfer cases to make that work. Still very interested in having v8 power but wish it was a little more simple

Or you could google it.... If you're wanting to swap to a V8 at least have the drive to search yourself

That's what I'm doing. I was pretty sure that's what forums were for. I'm not asking for somebody to build my jeep for me I'm trying to get all the information I can so I know what I'm up against when the time comes. I didn't think someone helping me find more information would be considered not having the drive I'm still doing all my own research. But thanks for your input
