Deminoid I don't need extended, just longest shocks possible for 16 or 17 compressed length..

Some will, some wont. The remote reservoirs help the shocks run cooler, which makes them work better in extreme conditions.

To measure travel, remove the shock! Jack up the axle, measure from the axle shock mount to the body mount. Then jack up the body and measure again. That will give you the overall length of the shock you need and the collapsed length. Do that on the front and rear.
That way you'll have the correct info to get the right shocks.

I guess I'm crazy but if up travel is 3 inches and ride height is 19 then 16 is compressed...

........ Redundant? You're only going to find the proper length by maxing flexing out and measuring. How do you not get this? Find a stomp, pile of tires, loading dock, etc... And flex and measure. You're trying to do this in a unconventional way that isn't accurate or working

They only make shocks so long per compressed length... Done it before, just messed up my first set of measurements.... I'll be ordering on Monday, some cheap white bodies

Good luck with that, we told you how to do it right, so don't complain if it doesn't work right.

I measured ride height and from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender and subtracted it from the ride height. It's the same as flexing it out but a 1/4 of the work and time. If I used the "conventional method" I'd be picking my coils up off the ground.

I just measured ride height minus bump stop height .... Same as compressing , I don't know why people don't understand...

Seriously though, how can you even think your method works when you don't know what lift it has, your shock won't be the proper length, your math doesn't prove anything other than your compressed length,(not really though) what about fully extended? Is it a short arm or long arm, and how is it easier? You flex it out and measure one side that's extended and go to the other and measure the compressed. As I said before, did you take into account that bumpstops compress also? So again your measurement are gonna be wrong.
I just wasted about 4 mins from my life reading a thread that was answered many posts ago. If oP has issues cause he didn't listen that's his problem. Everyone knows to remove shocks and measure by flexing

I wasted money on shocks by just measuring the wrong way. Happy to have my current knowledge
