Wrapping the injectors, venting the hood, main thing is just to not shut it off when it's gotten hot. True whether you're wheeling or just stuck in uber traffic. Let it cool itself off first.

Think of your coolant as train cars, their job is to carry the excess heat out of the engine and into the radiator, where the fans cool everything off. By shutting it off, you've stopped the train and the fans. Now the heat has nowhere to go, so it soaks into everything around it.

Ahhhh ok. That helps alot. This is my first vehicle that I've had were this is a common thing. So there's no need to wrap the rail because the heat transfers more slowly because the injectors take the brunt of it. Thanks for the advice.
