Default Looking to do some a big upgrade

I got a 99 jeep cherokee xj, 4 door 4.0. Im looking to swap it with a 383 stroker. I was wondering if someone could give me a list of everything im gonna need to upgrade? I know axles, transmission, t-case, drive shafts and all that but if im going with 1/2 ton chevy axles would I have to change out my lift and all the few upgrades I did? Please someone holler out before I blow money on this project. Thanks!

not really much point in throwing 1/2 ton chevy axles under their...... with that kind of power and im assuming big tires they will snap easily. 10 bolt chevy axles snap easy with a stock 305 and 33s....... you will have to stiffen the unibody for sure and 3/4 tons...

With this jeep i planned on sticking around 32/33's but what ever info I get is more helpful. What gear ratio should I go with then?

If you're diving in head first to a SMC swap, i assume you have fab skills. swap your axles and just weld on all new mounts to fit whatever modifications youve done to the suspension. stiffen the frame, and weld in, or bolt in new motor mounts. transfer case skid will probably need to be modified or redesigned. i hope you either have lots of money to throw around, or a good donor car with some good fab skills.

Well assuming you make it "easy" on yourself and swap in the Chevy Trans and tcase along with the axles you will need to build new leaf and shock perches in the rear, new control arm mounts, coil mounts, track bar mount, have new driveshafts made, build a new crossmember

I gotta ask why do you want a small block in it?For the price of the small block trans t case and swap parts you could build a 4.7 stroker.
