I have recently installed my Rustys 6.5 inch lift, i have shims in the rear and i don't get any vibrations. I am going to get a sye eventually just not at the moment... Money money money..... But if i wanted to do a little mild wheeling (mud pits, and mabey some flexing) will i be fine? Just me goofing around when i got out of school cause i had the flu....

If I were you I would make sure and see if the Driveshaft is good and not too close to fall out. It it looks strait I would go play but nothing too rough. You can prob get away with playin but I'd get the sye done asap

How am i supposed to know how much drive shaft i actually have left in the t case?

Idk man and sye is always better but if money is tight then just run it but make sure that yoke doesn't try to come out with flex. I got an sye and a custom driveshaft from Adams driveshaft in Nevada and it was only like $400 or so for both. And it was a sturdy DS

you can flex all day long, the pumpkin will still be relatively in the same spot as it is when you are just sitting there, each wheel will travel, but the center of the axle will pretty much stay put, unless you jump it or bounce really hard.
just take it easy and i'm more than sure you will be fine. let er flex.

i bought a sye a few years ago, it's still in the box on the shelf. i'm running a stock length drive shaft with no t-case drop. all i have done to my shaft is a yj slip yoke for the added clearance so she won't bind.

my plan is to mate my d300 up to my 231, so i'll use my sye on another jeep.

I too have installed an sye and DS from Adams. Nice guys to work with.







I didn't add the sye till I went above 5" lift, before that, i did get some vibes but didn't have any problems with it.
