Default Stretching a lift?

Going to get and install the Rough Country 4.5 lift for my XJ. Heres the question, I want to know if it is ok to do the 4.5 lift and then install lift blocks and coil spacers. If I can do this do I need to get spacers for the drive shafts or make new ones? Also is this an advisible way to lift and strech a lift kit. I want to go this route cause it is cheaper for me. My ultimate goal is to be able to trail ride and crawl some with it, I am not like some guys trying to just fit big freakin tires under a truck and never leave the pavement. 33's are what I am shooting for and 6.5 lift will give me room for them and hopefully some flex room. Any input is good, thanks.

Because $2100 is out of my price range right now. The 4.5 lift from RC is $460, spacers and blocks are about 200. I have a buddy that does lift installs and can get me this stuff cheaper too. Yes the rusty's kit is exactly what I want but can not afford. He also can get me tires for the cheap.

And by blocks you mean extended shackles. Most of us dont believe in wheeling with blocks, to unsafe. You will probably need extended brake lines as well.

I don't suggest blocks

But you will need an sye, along with control arm drops at a minimum.

Do a shackle in the rear, and a spacer in the front if you have to.... but after 3-4.5" you need to upgrade steering, extended brake lines, SYE, yada yada yada. It gets VERY expensive. Save up and do it right. you can fit 33's on a 4.5" lift. Just gotta trim.

Plus if you are running anything less than a 33 then dont go that high anyways. and the $460 RC kit is an AAL kit. you NEED full spring packs....

Again. Just save up. you will be happier in the end

Talk to Staangs fab.

theres actually no difference in price between the 6.5 and 4.5 inch lift kits so the fact that other resellers charge you more is ridiculous. they just make a bigger profit on 6.5 inch kits. lol

More cutting, less lift. The "blocks are unsafe" people crack me up. Tons of vehicles come with them from the factory.

And JCR(for the non-winch bumper), TMR customs, Rockspyder 4x4, BDS.

Mostly for quality and honest companies, they're just the best to deal with i've found so I recommend them.

Companies i'd stay away from are PJF Offroad, rustys and the long list of ebay guys. Not to say there arent excellent guys on ebay.

At the end of the day I support companies that support our sport, make quality products, back up said products and tell the truth to their customers.

If you dont believe me feel free to call them and then call rustys and see the difference.

I also like RC, quality isn't the same but the customer service is top notch.

Ya thats why anyone who wheels their rigs puts in a after market suspension. Just because the factory puts it on doesnt mean its the best way for everything...
