Stereo wiring
Not sure if anyone here can help but i thought it would be worth a shot.
I bought my jeep modified off some other guy. It had an after market stereo in it that had some serious problems, so i try to replace it wsith another aftermarket stereo. I found out all the wiring is way messed up, but knowing a decent amount of electronic stuff i figured out where everything was supposed to go, or so i thought. now nothing is working. any ideas?

Iv dealt with that same problem many times there is three mane wires you need to find usually they are a black ground red mane power and yellow accessory wire some are different but the red and yellow are sometimes backwards to check just take a test light on the yellow you should have no power with the key off and with the key on you should have power if you don't do the same to the red wire if still nothing hopefully it is a fuse but if its not a fuse then you mite need to re wire it but its easy hit me up if this doesn't help you or you need any stereo questions

best advice i can give you is rerun everthing.. its not too expensive, run the constant power for the deck to the same wire for the amp right after the fuse, run the ground to any metal in the car.. run the ignition into the ignition and run new wires to the speakers.. takes a little time but works out better if you do it yourself in the end..
