That's an obvious exaggeration. By no means is it close to a bulletproof setup, but for most light to moderate wheeling it would be sufficient. It all comes down to what kind of wheeling and terrain he plans to do and how much he's willing to spend.

Considering how important your steering is, why not invest in a quality upgrade.
If I knew what I know now I would have bought a one ton over the top with the right track bar from SeriousOffroad right off the bat.

But I under stand where the O.P. is coming from we only start off planning to spend so much $$$$. But one thing I would advise doing no matter what. Even if you only up-grade to the Grand Cherokee tie rod. Invest in a steering brace that comes off the other frame rail (also frame stiffeners for hard off-roading, but at the very least the brace). When you start stiffening up the steering component's something is going to give! Trust me I am 2 out of 2 and we just upgraded to larger tires (30s' on a budget lift) on my sons XJ and I waited to long with mine after installing the Currier set-up (works got it second hand but rather have over the knuckle). Frame rail cracked on both by the steering box.

Like I said I wish I had bought the one from Serious, a friend of mine has their one ton steering. He also installed the long arm up-grade. I wished I had the money to do the same right off the bat. Probably will do it in the future.

You're the guy making grandiose claims, not me.

Nope, I don't sell stock steering links. Thanks for your interest though.

Funny your the only person to dispute it out of all the people who have done it on this forum in the 3 yrs. I have been reading it. Or since I started posted the first comments about the upgrade.

As for my interest in your products your memory must have failed you as about a year ago I contacted you about parts. When I did I asked to speak with you as I had a large order and needed input on some of them. Your reply was you "Only used email "NO PHONE" so I went elsewhere to places that did have a phone and had time to speak with me and in turn in the next 3 days I placed orders for just over $3600 in parts. Another thing I will say if any of them were higher than other places including you they priced matched or had cheaper prices to begin with. But I tried to do business with a supporter of the forum FIRST and saw where that got me.

That said I do buy from other vendors here and so far have had any issues I'm glad to report. I wish you well in your business as I could have never stayed in business for over 35 yrs not using a phone.

i too will not do business w/ any vendor or person who will not take the time or show me the respect to speak w/ me on the phone. i know the attitude prevelant here however, im too busy to waste my time answering stupid questions or being drawn into long extended conversation w/ people who may not even end up buying from me anyway. there are no stupid questions when you are considering buying things you really dont know much about and could be spending large sums of money. only stupid mistakes, for not asking lots of questions. talking to a customer or possible customer is just part of running a business, at least to me it still is.who wants to spend days going back & forth w/ emails trying to resolve what a 5 minute phone call can settle.btw ive spent $5 k in my jeep over the past yr. w/ shops & suppliers willing to talk w/ me on the phone about there products & services.

x2 or was that 3? I'd rather talk to someone than just order blindly, hoping i get the right parts. I haven't spent nearly what most people have, but then mine is a DD & I don't wheel it much, yet.

Fred, you're gravely mistaken. I sent you emails, PM's here and posted in your threads as well. You never replied.
I've never told YOU or anyone else that I only do business via email.

Put the blame where it belongs....on yourself for failing to reply to multiple attempts to get in contact with you.

I constantly take the time to contact anyone that wants to talk to me. I DO NOT have an 800 number, they are costly and guess who ends up paying for them....YOU DO.

You're already on my site, a simple click on the "Contact Us" is all it takes. Want a phone call? You'll get one.
Want to ask a question about a product via email? Ask away.
Want to call me? I'll respond with my personal phone number.
I do this EVERY DAY OF WEEK.

I have a full time job M-F and I reply to emails as quickly as possible.

^^this is exactly my experience with Frank. I hit the "contact us" button and sent my phone number. he called me within an hour, I got my customer service, and felt comfortable enough to place my order. piece of cake

keep up the good work!

zj tie rod

good for 33" tires. great actually. I didn't even buy mine new, I bought it junk yard. it is a great deal stronger than stock. I put a lot of pressure on it and didn't even tweak it. but when you step up to 35's you'll need a real upgrade. the TRE's just aren't big enough for crawling and will wear too quickly. and the y link style is the real drawback
