i have revolver shackles. yup. and no, they have not "unloaded" on me, ever.
i wheel northern ontario forest trails with lots of rock outcropping with hills and valleys.
i had them on my shelf for 5 years before i installed them because of all the negative i have heard about them.
i was in a pinch and installed them, they've been great.
but because they don't add any lift, i had to install a block to even me out. so i'm at 6 inches with a block and revolvers. no complaints.
i am however going to link the rear, so they won't be on much longer.

There is a heavy duty shackle that will fit an XJ!! They came stock on the front of the 3/4 ton Jeep J20 pickups and they are the same length and width as OE XJ shackles, but are twice as thick as the XJ shackles. (Pics are below)
These have stock bushings but you can use the replacement poly bushings with the thrust sholders.
You can have these for $65.00 plus the ride if you are interested.

I have run revolver's could not make certain hill climbs, switched out to longer standard shackles and could make the exact same climbs. I could not stand the unloading of the revolvers.
