Default Rebuilt transfer case w/sye, where to buy?

Anyone have any advice on where I can get a rebuilt np 231 transfer case with an sye installed? I know I can do all that myself but I already rebuilt my case once and I'm still having issues so I'm looking to buy a rebuilt or remanufactured one

Quadratec has a selection of sye np231 between 1400 and 1600 plus a 350 core charge depending on your motor and tranny combo. Heres one for 97-01 with an auto tranny: http://www.quadratec.com/products/52252_009.htm.

well it could probably work but there's no 4wd sensor on it. When u shift into 4wd. U wouldn't see any light pop up on the dash

I purchased a fully remanufactured 242 for $500 then did a hack-n-tap SYE. Did not have to open the case. If you get reman, ask about what is done. Not all places will replace every bearing and seal.

What year is that off of? I thought all of them have a threaded hole for the sensor. Is it the internal portion that is missing?

the hole had never been drilled and tapped for the sensor. It is a 1991 case. It used to have the vacuum harness on it before I removed it for the SYE.

The way I figure, when you pull on the lever to engage the 4x4, the vacuum engages the front axle shaft and there's probably a sensor there that lights up the 4x4 on the dash.

It's been 4 years and no issues. It's my daily driver and joyrider. I jump it, drop it off ledges and like to drive it rally style when offroad.
Main difference is the internal SYE uses a HD yoke and the double cardon joint sits much closer to the body of transfer case.
