Rear Shock mount bolts
Hi guys, Doing the lift on my xj and have had one hell of a time getting all this done, at least iam on the final stages atm in getting these rear shocks out but those bolts are rusted out badly and nearly circle. The problem is the Design as well not much room to get into that area, You think I should just drill them out? any tips are welcome thanks.

If your talking about the upper ones, soak them with PB blaster let sit for a few hours and try again. PB blaster works miracles. If they will not come out you can drill or pop them out with an air chisel, assuming you have that on hand, then theres a way of fishing a nut on a piece of wire through a small opening on the side by the bolt holes to catch with a bolt to install bar pin eliminators. Theres a vid of it somwhere.
Heres two good vids:

Like XJLIMITEDX99 said. Break them off and drive the nuts out with an air hammer with a punch tip in it. Put a piece of fishing line on the new bolt and fish it through the hole. Takes a little patience but way less work than trying to drill them out.
