glad im not the only one. i dont really want a roof rack or a huge rear bumper. i just want a simple low profile way to mount my highlift.

I have a defender roof rack. And you can go to www.offroadunlimited.com for it and roof rack mounts.

48" Hi Lift. Inside ... just add washers. I figure, it's strong enough to hold a full size spare.

Yeah its very sturdy but the only downside is the spare tire wont fit anymore, because the jack sticks out to far.

Remove the factory spare, and with a 60" jack with the little extension thing on the top of it bolted on so the jack is at its maximum length, it will fit perfectly across the rear of the jeep on top of the rear plastic panels. If this description doesnt make sense, Ill run out and set it up to show you what i mean.

I just ratchet strap mine to the D-rings in my cargo area. I have upgraded them to a more solid ring though, last thing I want is my Hi-lift becoming a missle.

Mine is zip tied to the roof rack with several really heavy duty zip ties haha. Its a temporary solution because I needed get it out of the trunk to fit some extra stuff in the trunk.
