Will a 44 out of a scout work in my 88 cherokee

anything will work if you make it work. no, it will not bolt in without fabbing mounts, etc. the front 44 is passenger side drop on a scout btw, if thats what youre talking about.

Also on the scouts you have to change the knuckles angles and everything. Go with a ford f150 or bronco d44 front instead

Didnt know witch way to go with a 44 swap. Is the ford 150 alot wider than my stock 30.

if you want close to XJ width, find a front 44 out of a jeep wagoneer. im running a full width 44 out of a F250 and if you run wheels with the right amount of offest, you can get fairly close to stock width. on H2 wheels im really not that wide, my 12.50s still are about 1/4 of the way under the front fenders.

I guess what is the easiest setup. I wont be doing this myself. But i will be rounding all the parts up. Just looking for good info. Dont want to go to wide

its not easy, but its not that you cant do it. the only way to bolt one in is to buy one from a dealer online like (like G2, Currie, or Dynatrac) or find a TJ rubicon 44, or get one from another truck, and make it work- by stripping off old brackets, building/buying new ones, measuring, and welding them on. youll also need to match the bolt pattern to your rear axle, and/or get new wheels, get new steering, possibly a driveshaft..

Wagoneers are passenger side drop you so it will not work.

Not to sure yet were still swapping it over on my dads jeep. I think it's around 8" which is wide but if your having someone do it they can shorten up your shafts and tube and narrow it to stock or what ever you want. Just be aware when you break something you will have to get a custom part.

What size tires do you plan on running? What will you plan on doing? I really think 60's are over kill on a lot if Cherokees and heavy

How? I'm pretty sure a 44 locked with 37's is just right
