Noises after SYE and control arms?
OK so put a IRO HnT on my NP242. I have a front drive shaft as my rear. So today I start her up and drive it. Off the road I didnt notice any noises nothing. ONCE I got on the road I hear this strange noise. Its kind of a clunk/grinding noise? its really strange. my angle at the T-case is 4° and at the rear its 10°. I have a 3" lift in my 95 with a 97°
Also after I let off the gas and let it coast it has this like hopping feel. The control arm bolts arn't ungodly tight on the control arms. The road is smooth so I dont know where the hopping is coming from.
I was supposed to go get tires tomorrow but if I can't get any answers here or find it on Google I guess I wont be getting tires or going to drill....

You mentioned your angles but not real sure what you were talking about. On a cv driveshaft, the driveshaft shoul be pointed directly at the t-case output shaft. The lower end at the pinion should be 90* to the driveshaft angle. That may be what you were saying essentially.
See attached pic. If it is set up like this then maybe you just have bad u-joints.

Pull one drive shaft at a time to figure out which side it is coming from. Are your angle measurements from the front or the rear drive shaft? Also are your lca's adjustable?

The hopping issue may just be an out of balanced tire. You said you were getting new ones anyway. Re-torque all your bolts that got removed or loosened when installing the lift.

The front Ds I put in the rear CV is shot. The angle is off by 6° I believe.
Sadly with drill and this awesome backfire I have I don't have time to try and fix it. Thank you for all the replies. When I get back on Monday I will see if the front ds I have in the front out in the rear fixes the problem.

OK so I'm pretty sure the CV join on the drive shaft I was using if shot. So rebuild it or eBay for a used one? I mean a new one is possible too. But I'm not made of money.
I have a new u joint already
