Wait. Are you telling me you're taking the money your parents are making from selling the house for your Jeep? Sounds spoiled to me. You get a new car and total it. After reading this thread I am more annoyed than anything. $100,000 into a jeep build? Give me a break. I smell a troll. There's a guy on here with stock axles and running 36s fine with just 2"s of lift, that's a pure function over form build. I'm sensing that that jeep was very shiny and mostly saw malls.

Buy used when possible, join facebook groups, I am a member of several and not just Cherokee related. Just this week I bought a locker for $125 shipped and its new in the box, bought a complete 8" long arm kit with bilstein shocks for $1200 and a few weeks later bought 4 bead lock rims with 35" rock kralwer tires for $800 on Craigslist. Great buys are to be had, but you have to hunt, take your time and be patient.

Actually, I totaled the new car and decided I'd rather stick with the Jeep I've had for 3 years now. My dad doesn't want any of the money from the house, just to stop paying the note every month for a place no one lives in. We were going to use the $20k to pay the car off but now they want to put it towards something newer with better gas mileage and safety. I would rather put a little into the Jeep and then keep the rest for whatever. I'm not "taking" anything, he's giving it to me and will probably be the last thing I ever get from him. Spoiled? In a way, sure. I'm currently a full time student and have two jobs trying to make rent monthly because he doesn't want to help pay it. And yes, he sank a metric ****ton into his jeep. The company and pictures of it are online but in the interest of anonymity I won't link it. It's not like I don't care that I wrecked my car, I loved it for the 7 months I had it. But that's life and I don't want to pay a nice $1053 a month in insurance alone for another one. I'd rather stick to the $60 on the Jeep, thanks.

But that's off topic. First actual mechanical work is gonna get started Friday. Replacing the spark plugs and the ignition coil assembly. Hopefully that stops the misfiring. As far as rubbing goes, the new 30x9.5x15 tires rub on full turn. I plan on pulling off the plastic bumper pieces on the front but I don't think it's rubbing on that. Is it rubbing the LCA or something else? Doesn't seem all that destructive, just mildly irritating.
