It's easy just takes about an hour or 2. Unbolt everything on the crossbar that sits on top of the radiator and unhook any hoses and lines on the radiator and it just comes out. If you've never done it before just examine all the bolts and remember where they go so when you put it back it's as easy when you took it off.

I would unhook the lower rad hose first and drain the coolant. Then the rest is just unbolting everything to free up the radiator. I'm sure there's how to 's on youtube. If you run into any problems let us know we will be glad to help a young gun like yourself out.

Swapping a radiator in these trucks is not difficult at all.
HOWEVER, if you're installing a 3-row, it's going to be quite a bit thicker than your stock radiator was. Installation shouldn't give you a problem, but you need to make sure your engine mounts are in good condition and that the mechanical fan isn't going to make contact with your expensive new radiator. Some people have installed these only to destroy them because their worn out engine mounts allowed the engine to shift the fan right into the radiator.

This sounds like exactly what i want to do with my 93 xj. My OEM radiator is giving up and i'd like to put in a 3-row all metal replacement and also eliminate the stock fan and clutch..replace with a second (primary) electric fan. I'm curious which 3-row rad is a good replacement and also what electric fan is everyones favorite. Any help in this area is appreciated.
