I'm really not sure what the point of your post is?
Or more so unsure why I was quoted?
My info is valid as is yours:
Not every auto locker has the same characteristics.

He had previously stated the function of an auto locker as what he believed a limited slip differential would....

The action of an auto locker is described as ratcheting by many.

I quoted you to show there are different kinds since not all ratchet if he's looking for a non ratcheting one. You made it seem like all auto lockers ratchet which they do not.

no it'll be fine, might bug you if you get irritated with noises easily though because it won't be 100% silent

Richmond Gear has good quality products and I would use it for sure. Some auto lockers are more quiet than others my Detroit Lockers are very quiet. What you might want to check when you install it is if you have 29 spline axles in your 8,25 that year had both. That was if you do install a larger tire and have to change gears you change it out to a 29 spline axle setup much stronger. But with what you have now not a problem with the 3.55's.

Ya confused me on that one. I need to see if i have a 29 spline axle in my 8.25 cause it came with two different options? I'm only running 3.55 gears and the highest tire size i would possible go would be 32x11.50R15, would i be fine with 3.55 gears or would i HAVE to change gears?
