looking for a quite muffler
That's right my jeep is too load I have a 40 series on it sounded good for something laying around the shop. Now that I had to cut the tailpipe off because the shocks are in the way I can't stand it even with a turn down. Looking for cheap and quite

Well the 40 series is a loud muffler to begin with, but a turndown directly after the muffler will make the exhaust echo off the ground and the bottom of the jeep. Aka loud and obnoxious. Just about any other muffler you get will probably be quieter, and a tail pipe would help a lot.

I tried several low cost options and they were all too loud or ricer. Ended with Walker quiet flow. Wasnt as cheap as Id like $77 at the local parts store but its nice. Just a little throat and no rice.

It's dangerous to not have a full length tail pipe.
Or at least out the side.

Well I guess I'm stopping at autozone on my way home. It dumps out right at the rear axle and I live in Florida my windows are rarely up. I've worked on cars my whole life I'm aware it's not the safest thing that's why I'm keeping it as long as possible and using a turn down. This was a last resort eventually I'll make a new tailpipe

that turn down probably cost more than a tailpipe.
mine was 15 bux new, and it is also a walker. i have a spare hanging in the shop too.

Turn down was $6 the problem is the tailpipe won't fit between the truss and where the shocks go through the floor. That's why I cut it off il have to buy a bend kit and make a tailpipe. I've ran cars like this for years but I'm over the whole obnoxious noise
