Default Lift choices

I'm trying to decide between a rough country 3" lift or a rubicon express 3.5" lift, my only problem with the RE is that it doesn't come with new shocks. Do I need new shocks? And what's the downside to picking a lift without new shocks

The reason a lift doesn't come with shocks is that it lets you pick your own.

your stock shocks will NOT be long enough for a lift, so you will need to buy shocks.

I recommend a complete package kit. Because you need a lot more than springs/shocks.

Brake lines, longer control arms, adjustable track bar, etc.

That is a complete set, with everything you need.

No need to start multiple threads in different forums on the same topic.

Contact one of the moderators, they can merge the two threads and that will keep all the info you want in one place. Makes life a little easier when researching upgrades.

I've always been a fan of Rubicon express. Never personally been impressed with RC.

I just did the complete RE 3.5" lift with full leafs.

The kit was 100% complete. I didn't have to purchase a single item to install it.

I am happy with it.

I went with the cheaper twin tube shocks also.
