Default Jeep xj rear disc with 15" alloy rims

Are there any rear disc conversions that you can keep a 15" alloy rim with or do all of them require a 15" steel or 16" alloy? I've been looking for a while but either can't find what rims they will fit or they say they don't fit. I've been wanting to do this for a while but I don't want to have to buy new rims and tires. Thanks! And sorry if I just completely missed something.

You can keep 15" alloy wheels with the ZJ/KJ rear disc swap

Most rear disc are small so they will clear 15s no problem. Its the front brakes that are bigger that can cause wheel fitment problems. The old rule of thumb was take the disc size and add 2 inches for a single piston and you got the smallest rim you can clear.

you'll need longer wheel studs with anything but a stock steel rim

Why would you need a longer wheel stud? The thickness of a drum shouldn't be that far off of the thickness of a disc. I run zj discs with rubicon alloy rims on my xj w no problems.

Can't I just take the studs out of an old set of front hubs? And put them in my axle shafts and then use pretty much all the liberty parts?

FYI, a 14 in. wheel will clear the ZJ rear discs.

Does it have to be a 06 or is there a range?

Those numbers are from an 06 if you get a different year you just need to match the all the parts for that year except the studs.

Yeah that's what I figured soft lines aren't that expensive and they're pretty important. And calipers are also fairly important. Since you said crown I figured it was a new part id have to buy from them. And do I need to get proportioning valve guts? Thanks for all the help!
