interior upgrades I have done so far.
So far in the few weeks we have owned it, the interior was kind of shabby, so since my kids will be driving it, and its not cool to have a messed up interior with a headliner falling on you, and speakers were blown, figured it was time to upgrade for them.
1st I installed a simple Pioneer headunit
then that is when I realized the speakers in the soundbar were completely shot, and since the headliner was ripped and sagging, and blowing nasty old foam all over us everytime the windows were down, we removed the headliner and stripped it. we also took the soundbar and stripped it, cleaned it, primed it and painted the soundbar with this paint in "Pebble" color

We also have purchased some Rockford Fosgate Prime R1525X2 full range 5.25" speakers which are sitting here waiting for the paint to cure on the sound bar.

The headliner material we bought was this one:

the headliner should be here this afternoon, so hopefully I can get that all laid out later this afternoon and be able to install it tomorrow. I will eventually be installing some NVX speakers in the front door, and putting our 10" Alpine type R in a vented box with our Belba BB3000D amp (@ 20ohms it is 1260 watts x 1 chan)
I will get picture once its all done, but here is a little preview

How many Zombies can it carry? LOL
Make sure you get all the old foam brushed off the old headliner and use a good headliner adhesive to hold it. I like the color you painted the soundbar, in fact I have a couple of acc's that I would like to paint that color and I use that brand a lot.
BTW you need to fill out the year (in user CP) so others can help easier when you ask a question.

thanks, sad part is my kids will drive it more than I will. I will occasionally drive it to go pig hunting to keep the abuse off my big diesel truck on tight trails

That looks really nice, I need to do my headliner as well, but my 94 country has the roof console. I think I'm gonna steal the sound bar paint idea as well, really nice and last longer than the material...maybe I could use that on the console as well?? Great job, and thanks for sharing it.

Both of my xj's have sagging headliners. I found the material on ebay for like $42. What is a good adhesive to use?
