Ideas for a rear tire carrier from the receiver hitch

I ran into this situation this past weekend. I had to heave my spare tire (35) on top of the Jeep. Not fun. This is perfect for when the family wants to go wheelin. You can remove the tire & carrier & leave it at camp.

Ooo that doesn't sound fun. Even though mine is a little ol 235, it takes up space inside that I would like to use for storage as seen on this forum. That's why I figured a hitch mounted carrier would work well but stompers looks really good and out of the way

2 bolts on each mount "leg" - 4 total. The d-rings are just welded to the face of the 3/16" wall tubing...I don't know that I'd want to use them for a hard extraction, but would use them for a "tow" kind of pull...if you understand what I'm meaning.
I sent you a PM regarding price.

89limited Hreo, The link I posted was the page your carrier was on. It was the easiest way to share what you did.
I have wheeled with someone who actually had a bolt on auxiliary hitch mounted on his receiver hitch about 5"s to the left of the hitch itself. allowing him to still be able to tow a trailer. I would think it would not be to hard to but this

and weld it onto a receiver hitch to do the same thing.

You could always get your hands on a factory tire carrier and brace it which is what I did, but they ain't too easy to find nowadays. Mine holds a 33x12.5 just fine, even swung out.

For a 235 that maybe the easiest option. I got my factory carrier from a parted out 87. If you decide to do this, get all the interior and under body braces (3) and the tag relocation stuff as well. Don't forget the blank plate that fills in the old center tag light.

Chill dude. I was simply pointing out that the factory tire carrier is a rare bird & will not work for folks with non stock bumpers.

The pissed part was the term "useless" the OP doesn't have your bumper and runs 235s. I don't go on long arm or supercharger threads and say how useless they are to some of us that's all. It's all good.
