Default Housing Questions

I'm thinking about getting a spare Dana 30 to build for my dd so I can take my time and learn how to do it properly myself. I have a 99 and am wondering what years a front axle housing will match the existing axle. I'm not concerned about shafts or gears or carrier as I will be replacing those. I only care about the housing itself.

Any housing will work. Just make sure it's non disconnect but is high pinion.

Thank you. Probably going to find a jy housing and have someone weld the truss and gussets or order one with just that done.

Are there any other jeeps that would have the same housing as well such as zjs or early tjs?

nope. Other jeeps are either too wide, low pinion, or wrong spring configuration

Avoid 00/01 XJ LPD30's you don't want one of them.
