Not a Cherokee application, but a good place to start getting an idea as to how it's done.

Here's mine I used 3' black abs pipe, (2) 3' abs 45 degrees, and (1) 3' abs 90 degree street elbow I think is what it was called had a female on one end, male on other end, as for piecing it together. I then used a 2' or 2.5' electrical junction box were it goes through the fender then back to a 3' flex tube from pepboys to run to stock airbox. With the stock air box I sealed all existing holes and added a 3' connector for flex pipe to attach to. Also got from pepboys. And at top of snorkel I used a 4' dryer vent I think is the size to keep out the rain while driving. All the pipe from lowes and other stuff from pepboys I think I have about $75.00 in it. I used (2) 3' pipe hangers to attach it on fender and a-pillar. Also from lowes. It works great, does its job and I saved a whole lot of money. I think I have some more pictures in my album should be one in there also of were it attached to the stock air box.

i have been using this for years now its cheap effective easy just seal every thing with rtv or silicon cut box cut firewall insert
i dont have abs so i just used a long 90 short 90 10" straight and a rubber flex "U" all abs all at local hardware 21 dollarrs total here in ny the most expensive state in the us
those are the basic parts you need to make it i added a rally water resisant filter in my cowl and just havent got around to removing my stock air box

Hey thanx. No I just searched alot of threads to get an idea. And then just came up with my own design. All and all I thought it turned out pretty good and was happy with the end result. Thanx though glad you like it.

Not a fan of how PVC looks. I have used flex hose and ran it trough the fire wall above the fuse box. Had a cone at the end with a splash shield. It sounded sweet and worked real well. When I do it agean I will make one out of all steel and put it out side. Flat steel and tubing

any reason why you would need one running all the way to the roof?
I'd say 90% of the applications where a snorkel would be needed can be satisfied by a cowl snorkel like the one I'm running:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/my...snorkle-67919/
Completely Hidden, 100% Effective. Total Cost = $17

dont use the abs (black) pvc....use sch 40...its alot stronger and doesnt get brittle when its cold out.it will take a beating, had mine against some trees and it just popped out of the fitting
