Great write-up! I did this myself 6mo ago with Nissan Maxima bixenon projectors (used), The mirror surface was a little cloudy, I'd use new projectors like you did if I had to do it all over again.
Spent money on the TRS bixenon kit and the had a few issues, would have done a cheap Amazon kit like you did if I had to do it over again too.
Thanks for taking the time to do this for others.

Will do. It's probably not gonna happen for a while i gotta figure out my oil pressure issue I probably need new motor. I have 0 oil pressure at warm idle after about 30 seconds (it's been like that the last 10,000 miles though, finish fixing my deathwoble, sye and driveshaft then hid's lol I'll probably get around to hid's in 6-10 months.

Wheeler, check your sending unit - it may be faulty.

I noticed a "slight" increase in intensity going from 35w to 55w HID ballasts in my projectors, and the light is a bit warmer (less blue), but the actual brightness did not increase tremendously
I do have some crappy DDM tuning ballasts + bulbs (not really that high-end), but were your experiences similar? Its hard to get a feel over video because of differences in exposure plus the camera doesn't capture as much dynamic range as the human eye does

I'm about to start another retrofit. Is there anything specific you guys would like me to take a picture of?
