Here's the situation
I have a 2000 xj 4.0 with 242. I am having some weird sounds coming from the front. Almost sounds like popcorn and popping sounds. It happens when I go on un even surfaces, when I make sharp turns (but not all the time). When I stop abruptly, and when I excelerate (but only for a second and then goes away). And just random bumps and stuff I drive on. I have a 4.5 inch lift installed at the beginning of this year.
-new shocks
-new adjustable track bar
-new coils
-new leaf packs
-new rear shocks
-lower control arms
- t-case drop
-31 inch tires
-still have STOCK steering stabilizer
-just greased bushing (but thinking on getting new ends)
-planning in getting pitman arm drop
i very little issues at all not even vibrations, planing on SYE soon. The only little issues is this noise coming from he front end, daily driving is fun just don't want this problem to get worse or become expensive.

When you hear the sound do you feel it at all in the floor? steering? i had a similar popping sound on a zj i had, the upper control arm bushings were shot and the noise was the bushing knocking around the inside of the axle mount which eventually ovaled them out and ruined the mount.
