I would do a h4 swap with hella e coded headlights and a good wiring harness with relays. That will double your light output you have now for less and be legal. Some states adding hids to anything that didn't have it factory is illegal and not a ticket you want. For the price of those projectors you can get a set of trucklite led head lights http://www.ebay.com/itm/Truck-Lite-2...-/361074425362

Projectors catch a lot of flack because a lot of people skimp on them and set them wrong or otherwise illegally.

The H4 (or if you are daddy warbuck$ LED swap) is the bee's knees. You can find a plethora of H4 housings that are DOT approved and either glass or polycarb housings. Some people have luck with the cheap harness from China, I didn't so your YMMV.

I bought the ARB harness (and yes, it was expensive but it's never let me down). Run a good 55/60 (or hotter if you want) and you'll be good to go.

I would recommend IPF or Cibie H4 housings, and you can get Hella bulbs for about 7-12$/ea on amazon depending on what exactly you want. Definitely buy/make a headlight harness setup. That alone makes stock lights that much better. I have the LMC truck harness, IPF H4 housings, and Hella 80/100 bulbs.
