Ive been running stock with 33"s for 2 years now. I dont wheel anymore though. My old 89 had 35s and stock gears but it was a 5 speed and it was a pain but never broke anything.

It will be one hell of a dog for sure with very poor MPG's. Also chances are the trans will go from overheating because of all the up/down shifting constantly even on the highway on level ground from just air drag.

The higher gears will actually put less stress on things because there's less torque being applied. Your transmission won't like it though.

depends. if you have to bump it more often or rock back and forth between obstacles you'll probably end up seeing more issues. deep gears puts more stress on everything passed the pinion, but I definitely see more guys breaking who are open/stock geared.

yes you can definitely feel a difference in power at the gas pedal. rolling mass increase is noticeable, and drastic with each tire size jump. if you're not wheeling, you probably won't be breaking anything on 35's though.

I'm going to do gears.

I went from a light 33 All terrain tire to a heavier 33 Mud terrain tire with 2-inch wider steel wheels and the weight has put noticeable strain on the drivetrain. It's a lot slower to accelerate. What felt like "doable" has changed to "I wanna re-gear."
