Default front tow points

So i'm in a similar boat that i was in with my comanche only now i'm 4wd. I need front tow points, i know some XJs came with em and some WJs as well but they were hooks. I have a 96 XJ country and want to add some from tow points that are shackles without buying a front bumper (funds are just not there for the bumper yet) but it's becomin bonfire season and i'll be livin at the mud hole again and folks can't always get to the hitch on the rear. what has everyone done for front tow points and where'd ya get it from,

IIRC, there are some shackle apparatus that bolt to factory tow hook brackets. Otherwise, I have seen a couple of custom setup that used a tie-in type bracket with a D-ring clevis that went through the front bumper. (yes, you would cut a couple of holes in your bumper for this.

Tow hooks http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/10509.html or a little more http://detoursusa.com/xjbackbone.php that will give you shackles and a winch mount for later on.

i plan on later down the road when i'm done payin off the loan for my XJ to buy a from and rear bumper from JCR that has a winch plate already so the iron rock might be the way for me but aint the iron rock similar to a front hitch?

i thought bout doin that to my MJ when i had it that way i could have a recovery point front and rear and put a winch on a recieve plate, but where can i get a front hitch for a 96 XJ? or will a rear hitch mount right up on the front of a XJ?

Bolt on. It uses the sway bar bolts and two holes you drill. The part # is on one of the pics. I think it's about $100 and stiffens up the front.
