Front driveshaft in rear.
I put a sye in my jeep yesterday and was wondering if everything looked fine to ya'll. I used a stock front driveshaft out of a 1999 jeep Cherokee with a 231 case. How do the angles and everything look? Thanks!

Pinion looks a little high to me, and make sure at droop and full bump you are not maxing out the slip.

If the shims are like mine, what you will need to do is disconnect the axle from the leaf spring by detaching the u bolts, then use a c clamp nice and tight on either side of the shim to help keep the leaf pack together, then remove the centering pin and pull the shim out. Assembly is the reverse.

I'm using a rough country 3 inch lift with relocators because the springs were too short, and the stock shackles are too short and hit so I have 1.5 inch lift shackles. So I think if I took out the shims it would had about the right angle and if it dropped the angle too low I can adjust the shackles to make the angle back a little more.

I have 1.5 lift springs and 1.5 inch shackles and no shims and my pinion angle is perfect, had vibes when my angle was like yours with the shims. Should be able to reuse u bolts. Although it's not usually recommended but make sure they are tight then retighten them after some driving.

Yes remove the shims.you're getting axle wrap from the extended shackles. That plus those shims is causing your issue. Take out shims. Snap a pic. And well let you know. You may only need 2* shims. Maybe none. Well let you know

You can do one side at a time so the axle doesn't fall. Just do one side and line up the perch and leaf spring pin and snug it up don't tighten it fully until the other side is done too. Just so you only have to jack up one side of the axle instead of the whole thing. I mean jack up the truck by the body so the axle can droop and then jack up one side of the axle. I didnt really explain it well but I think you get the picture
