Just found a set of 4 falken wild peak at tires that the owner says has about 70% tread left. He's asking 350obo
How are these tires? Is this a good deal or should I keep looking? Might be able to get him down in price a little bit. Also I'm in high school currently so I can't afford a set tires that are 1000 bucks as much as I would like to.

They're not bad tires, just not good in mud like every AT tire. They'll get you around until you get what you want.

As stated above, not bad tires. With cost being most important to you, these will last you at least 2-3 more years. I'd say go for it and offer $300.

My brother has a set on his Silverado, he also bought them used, PO had ran them at 60 psi causing them to start to split on one part and a belt to get out of place on another, they both still hold air however . Just keep them at 30-40 psi on road and you should be good, they're nice and quiet on road but aren't great in deep snow, overall for $350 I'd say go for it

I submit to you that they are bad tires. Long before they're officially worn-out they turn into a completely different, useless tire.

As the Falken AT wears, the center rib gradually changes shape.

Ramping is often used for noise reduction as far as I understand tire tread engineering. Firestone Destination LE2 uses it without much if any harm, but I do not like the way Falken uses it at all especially with all of the shallow grooving they use all over the place on the same tire--it changes the tire WAY too much from new to used.
